to announce "The 13th Toshiba Machine Group Solution Fair". It will be held from May
21 (Thu) to May 23 (Sat) this year.

　The concept for this Solution Fair is "Expansive Innovations for Expanding Markets, the challenge to provide the solutions of the next generation - Contributing to a New Era Through Our Cutting-Edge Technologies and System Engineering". In a wide range of growing fields, such as automobiles, airplanes and air freighters, energy and the environment, electronics and IT, not to mention nanotechnology, the Toshiba Machine Group will be presenting state-of-the-art technologies and new products designed for tomorrow's world.

　With the diverse solutions created from our rich product lineup, including injection molding machines, die-casting machines, plastic extrusion machines, micro-pattern imprinting machines, high-precision machines, machine tools, industrial robots, control systems, casting and machining processes, retrofitting and after-sales services, and system engineering to integrate them all, we are ready to solve the problems faced by today's market. These challenges include energy and environment issues, increasing productivity, advanced materials, and utilizing the "Internet of Things" (IoT) and information and communications technology (ICT).

　While the U.S. economy shows signs of strengthening, and a gradual recovery is predicted for the domestic economy, the outlook for our industry still remains uncertain due to negative factors such as fluctuating exchange rates, steep rises in the price of certain raw materials, and a slowdown of economic growth in some countries. In these circumstances, it is vital to increase the pace of our penetration into growing markets through expanding our range of products tailored to the demands of the global market and developing new technologies for new materials and disciplines.
